traction is not a problem for me on the streets. have no idea out at the track. Mike at Century Automotive stalled it up to about 2700 and got it to spin the tires about 5 feet but that was it. its exactly what i want. not a lot of tire spin and a good jump off the line. rpms stay way up there after shifts.

Sounds pretty sweet! I'd like to get a stall someday and I was thinking the 2800 would be just right. Is the normal takeoff noticeably different? I know with some bigger stalls it'll rev up more before it starts taking off.

very I was thinking of doing the 2600 stall as I have a very heavy truck.

Having a high stall doesn't mean you won't move, once you get one , a high one, you'll see it acts pretty close to a stock one, kind of, until you start getting on it.

Mine is a 3200 and when i put it in gear, it still goes forward, now the slightest hill it will stop, but just a tad bit of gas and it moves again,

    later,

So they just slip more when under the stall speed, which simply means they generate more heat, this heat is easily counteracted by a good trans cooler. Correct?
