How many of you guys have shift kits and/or servos? If so, which did you go with and what do you think? I'm gonna go with the "super servo" from KDS performance. It's supposed to firm up the 1-2 shift, the 2-3 shift, and have quicker downshifts. From what I've read, people who have gone with both, say it's too firm. I'm debating on putting the shift kit on afterwards or just sticking with the servo? Thanks

go with both. get a transgo adjustable shift kit and have them either put one washer or no washers. depends on how firm you want it.
    no washers = firm
    1 washer = FIRM
    2 washers = DAMN....Skiiiiiiirrrrtttttt!
3 washers = OH SHIT........ BAM!!!!
i have done all 4 versions and have come to like the no washer and the epc adjusted to a firm shift no barking.
but thats really cause the guy cant build a trans that will hold up.

Yeah the 4L60E has some definite limits. Firm shifts are good but you need a little cushion in there to keep everything in one piece. I have a getto fab servo assembly but it equates to the KDS. In addition to that the puter has been tweaked for higher line pressure and to rev higher before shifting. That in combo with a beefed up trans gives me good crisp shifts and a dependable daily driver.... well, it was anyways.

I have been running a Vette servo with tweeked tranny parameters via Edit for quite some time. After destroying my second tranny recently I decided to put a transgo in the new one to see if it will last longer. I just got it yesterday and plan on putting it in on friday. I'll let ya know how it does.

I got a built tranny and I say go for both, you'll love it. If you have the performance bug, you won't regret it, nice , firm , quick shifts, they are nice.

I've got them. They add a little harshness at low shifts that's liveable w/o a tweak on the tune. I had my line pressure dropped 5% at 5-30% TPS.

Allen laughed his ass off that my Z71 will bark 285 AT's on a 1-2 upshift with ease.

Got my trangso put in last night and everything is good. With one washer in 1-2 accumulaor and a vette servo and stock line pressures(pcm) I get a real firm 1-2 firm 2-3 and improved 3-4. All shifts are much quicker now though. At wot I get a nice scratch on the 1-2 and jumps on the 2-3. I am enjoying it so far.
