I'm somewhat of a noob around here, but I'm a mod over on pt.net and I've been active on GMFS for awhile, as well as ls1gto. For those that don't know me, here's a brief history of my truck with pics and some track videos.
I've owned my 01 Silverado since April 20, 2001. Picked it up brand new with 8 miles on the clock. She's got 155,000 and change now, and I've put 99.999% of those miles on her. Started as a stock 5.3L, 4wd Z71.
Since then, she's had a cammed and blown 5.3 (pulled only because I wanted more cubes), a cammed and blown 6.0 (lost the thrust bearing) a built 408 (oil burner), and a second, better built 408 from a reputable LS engine builder in California. She's also been through six or seven built 4L60E's, and now has a built 4L80E.
Here's the details of my current setup, then some pics from the last motor swap.
408ci, 9.4:1 SCR
Comp Cams 220/222-580/580-114, XE-R lobes, advanced 1 degree
Melling stock replacement oil pump
Rollmaster double-roller timing set
Wiseco 16cc dish pistons
Ackerly & Childs moly ring set
Callies Compstar rods
Callies Dragonslayer crank
WCCH 317 stage 2 heads
LS7 lifters, manley pushrods, stock rocker arms
PT76GTS custom front mount kit
The old 408 took me to a best of 12.74 @ 106 with about 8 psi. The current one has taken me to a best of 11.63@119 at 15 psi, with a 1.81 60 foot.
Had it dyno'ed, and at about 11 psi I put down 575/640 to the rear wheels, through a 4L80E, transfer case, and 33" tires.
Enough talk....on to the pics!
Here's one of my better track runs (the best one is on my GF's dad's camera and I haven't gotten it from him yet)....forgot to put it in 4wd for the launch, which is why it takes me forever to get off the line.

This one kinda shows the squirrely launches that come with 4wd launches at 10 psi
