I'm a total noob to the LS world of engines simply because I grew up an old school 350/454 guy who thought that the LS series engines were for the "rich" guys because getting an all aluminum is engine is not cheap. Well, they still kind of are expensive, but hey you can get a decent amount of power out of stocker 5.3 right? I'm looking to put an LS into a 68-72 Chevy C10 shortbed pickup as a gift to myself for turning 30. I'll be on this forum mostly for listening, searching, and a whole lotta no talking because I believe that inexperienced individuals" are better seen and not heard.

Update: I'm going a slightly different direction and I'm now putting a 6.0 LQ9 into my '98 ECSB Silvy 4x4. And I'll still be looking for an older C10 and probably just put a 5.3 in it for fun.
