Well, the 6.7L engine now resides where the LS1 was, get that, one full liter larger! Thanks to Billy at TRT for all the help and Allen for the updated tune! I am waiting for the home-built headers to get coated so that I can complete the installation. Hopefully I will be picking the headers up Tuesday night so that I can fire this monster up. The install went without issue other than forgetting to put the transmission location dowels in while the engine was on the stand(ended up tapping them in with the engine in the truck and the transmission wiggled out of the way). All the standard fbody accessories bolted right on. The alternator now bolts in with only two bolts on the face mount and one on the rear. The 6.0L block had to be tapped for the lower bolt hole (the engine builder did that). There isn't material on the block to tap for the third hole location. Things needed when buying a new block.... coolant passage plugs, dog-bone plug that goes in the rear end of the engine behind the rear cover(supplied with engine), front and rear covers, cam chain, cam sprocket, crank sprocket, oil pump, camshaft, engine to transmission alignment dowels and head location dowels.

For now I am running the stock 98 throttle body and injectors and hope to move up to something bigger ASAP.
To tighten the crank bolt I torqued it to spec and then the addition 140 degrees of torque was done by running a chain through the crank pulley and bolting the ends to holes in the block. Next a cheater pipe was added to my breaker bar and the 140 degrees of torque came easily.![]()
