Input wanted on quickest way to put LQ4 into 97 C3500 4X4 w/5.7 vortec. MSD 2957??

I am looking for the quickest and easiest way to install a 2002 LQ4 into my 97 chevy 4X4 with a 5.7 Vortec and 4L80e.......want quickest even if it costs more......time is my biggest issue right now. I am not concerned at all about the mechanical aspect of the install......just the wiring and computer. I would like to retain all my existing truck functionality (gauges, cruise)

LQ4 will have a larger cam and headers when installed.

I have looked at these options:

    1. Use Lextec's instructions, merge the LQ4 harness and the 5.7 harness, repin, send the 411 ECM to be reprogrammed. Cheapest, but likely will take the most time....

    2. I then found a vendor that will take my existing 5.7 harness, convert into a "plug and play" harness to use with the LQ4 and 411 ECM. Vendor will also reprogram the ECM. Total cost ~$1400.00.

    3. Today, I found a deal on a NIB MSD 2957 Atomic LS Truck Kit controller system. ~$1700 shipped. No new harness or 411 programming required??

Option 3 seems to be the fastest, and costs close to option 2.

I am thinking I can just keep the existing truck PCM in place, and move my sensors/wires over to the new engine, and use the MSD to control it?

I am wondering, if I use the MSD:
Will I have some kind of issue with the existing PCM that will keep my truck from functioning correctly? Will it still be able to control my transmission if it is not getting any signal from the motor?

Which option would you all suggest?

    Why not contact Nelson Performance?

They can build you a harness and program your PCM for less than the above options.
The harness is a 4 wire hookup, or you can also send them your harness to be reworked. Use your current 5.7 sensors and the wires that go to your gauges.
