Hey guys been a long time lurker and collecting parts at the same time. So I will start off by giving a little backround info of My truck. The truck is a 1989 gmc sierra z71 stepside, that a guy in our marina had since 1995 I had always bugged him to sell me the truck but he kept saying he would never sell it. It then turned out to be a work truck and then he needed money so in 2008 I bought the truck from him for $500 to be used as a mud truck. The truck made it to one mud run and I decided i needed a project after that. So it all began with tearing the cab, box and everything off the frame. I then had all the suspension and frame redone and powder coated red. Every nut, bolt and bushing has since been replaced. the next step was to have the body re-done. it turned out that the cab needed new rockers and cab corners while in the process i cleaned the inside of the cab and had it rhino lined to seal everything up and mounted seat out of a 2006 denlai. so i replaced those and i also added new fenders as well. then for the motor i had just a basic 350 roller with some slight bolt ons and some mild head work. alot of my friends now have the nbs trucks and started doing some 6.0l swaps so i am not going to lie i jumped on the band wagon when i found a 2004 lq9 out of a silverado ss with 100 000km and 4l65e and awd transfer case for $800. the one downfall was the wiring had been cut and there was no computer. that was not a big issue since a guy that runs a speed shop around here had a carb set up on the same motor. i have stripped the motor down completely por15'd the block, bought the edelbrock 7118 intake and msd box and a 750 holley double pumper carb. I have bought a areomotive by pass regulator so i can still run my factory intank fuel pump since it is brand new and i have gone with the pace setter long tube headers. i have already pulled my transmission and driveline and disconneccted all the wiring and hoses going to my tbi motor. the only thing left is to pull the tbi motor out. i know you guys like pictures so i will post some of the truck. dont mind the dust i forgot to put the cover on it over the winter.
