    Current top secret project

I may have to delete this but here goes...

    Subject: 1993 RCSB 2WD GMC C1500

New power plant: 2002 5.3L with LS6 camshaft and orange stripe springs
New transmission: 2002 4L60e transmission with a bunch of goodies inside it

    Some goodies in the trans:
    Art Carr 9.5" converter
    Superior 1-2 billet servo
    Superior 4th billet servo
    Transgo hardened valve body plate
Aluminum pistons replacing the plastic ones
    4L60-HD2 shift kit
    Transgo Vacuum shift pressure controller

Engine is bolted in using Ebay style adapter plate, Gen1 V8 truck mount cups and Oriellys sourced 5" long mount bolts.

Energy Suspensions polyurethane transmission mount went in since it needed something there.

Engine is full of Castrol 5w30 with a WIX filter. Plate above the oil filter is tapped 1/8"NPT, 1/8 x -4AN fitting is installed and there's a 6' long -4AN braided hose ready to feed a front mount turbo one of these days. If it proves to be too long I have a 4' long hose ready to take it's place. A 3/8" NPT hole was drilled and tapped in the front right corner for a -8AN fitting. I drilled the pan and then removed it from the engine to clean the chips out, they went everywhere.

The factory transmission cooler hoses went back in without a hitch, lonely for a radiator now.

The starter was crushed somehow, I beat it back into shape and it works but I don't know for how long, maybe forever, maybe 15 seconds.

I know the lucky person getting the half finished project wants it but A/C isn't much of an option since something huge is taking up the entire front of the radiator core support area where the A/C condenser normally goes.

    Next:

    driveshaft
    Fan belt - done
1998 model vortec v8 throttle cable - done
    exhaust o-rings x 2 - done
Start fabricating an exhaust crossover pipe - in process
    Bigger fuel injectors
Hair dryer looking thing - here
build a down draft tube for hair dryer looking thing
Forgot it needs an air cleaner to keep hair from getting sucked into dryer.
Air filter - waiting on delivery
    Battery tray - done
34" radiator and electric fans - delivered
re-run all underhood wiring to front end lights - done
re-run the 1993 factory engine harness
pray that a Nelson wiring harness finds its way home before I have to bastardize the 2002 stock harness for use
SummitRacing.com polished aluminum billet GMC grille insert?
Install fuel tank with sump setup
Install Bosch 044 fuel pump and Summit fuel filter

add OnStar or a built in satellite phone to call a tow truck when the rearend melts down

That ought to take a couple hours to finish up.

ASAP. I'm cranking it out as fast as the parts come to put it together. I'll see if I can post some pics up when I find some time to take and download pics.

Forgot it needs a battery tray and a/c cleaner to keep hair from getting sucked into dryer.

We'll see when the UPS driver shows up with it. I may end up just having to get a leaf blower from Cowl to hook up to it.
