    74 k-5 5.3L swap

Over this past week i started my 5.3 swap into my 74 Blazer

Freshly Painted 5.3L waiting to go into the truck

My 74 k-5 waiting to get the engine swap done

Front Clip Stripped off in preparation for removing the old 350

All the extra stuff stripped off the 350

The empty frame rail getting ready to put the new engine in

Test Fitting the 5.3 in the frame rails

I had to clearance the engine cross member some to let the engine drop in

Clearence needed on the exaust manifolds

    ac compressor fit?

i'm gathering information for a similar swap.

will you be using a/c? does it look like there would be frame to compressor interference on the pass side?

I am not using AC thats why i have a convertable

From the looks of it i do think that that would be the biggest area for clearence issues you sould have to do some cutting and welding to reinforce the frame
