    86 C10 6.0/4l80e swap

    Well,
since I have talked about it several times, and posted my progress everywhere but here...dunno why?
Here's some pics of the progress. As of right now, I am waiting on headers to start her up, that's it. After that, I'll get exhaust reworked a little and new posi/gears in back.

    chevylee,
ya I got the cover, thx!
But, I found out the hard way, van intakes do not have that front "mount" with the screw insert, so I have no way to attach it. Could probably get a truck intake cheap, no worries.
Don't know why you can't view pics, I use firefox only, working fine. ?
Oh, and for those of you that asked about the thorley headers, they will not fit on 73-87. Hits drivers side firewall and goes right through where stock shift linkage is. Maybe they will have a "correct" header soon. To their credit, theirs are 1st class, but application is for 67-72.
I am having to go with s&p

Slick. Good job. Where did the throttle cable come from?

    Lokar ls1 throttle cable.
Red, I had heard that from some other people also, but they mentioned "dimpling" one side. I'm anal about some things and don't want to do that. If there is a set that fits without dimpling I am up for suggestions!
    thx all

I've seen them installed without dimpling. Dustin at TRTTurbo had a set on the orange truck and they fit nice.

You could PM TRTTurbo. Billy can answer your questions about the headers. I think they may have put a very minor notch in the top of the frame channel that can easily be beefed up.
