Last year we had a great turnout for a first time truck gathering. Over 100 racers participated and over 400 spectators enjoyed the show.
The goal last year was to test the waters to see if LS1Truck.com could group enough trucks together to offer an event to all GM truck enthusiasts.
Well the gathering was a success and this year we’re having our first official Shootout and our second LS1Truck.com Raceday Gathering!

The day will begin at 10am. Show up early to beat the rush.
All pre-registered racers will be on a pre-paid list. No payment is required at the gate. Please bring your ID (if needed) or PayPal receipt.
    Pre-Registration is $25
For racers paying at the gate, cost will be $55 at the gate.
    Spectators: $15

There will be a few events to participate in. Read below for information.

-Fastest 16 Heads up racing for GM LSx based trucks/suv, run what you brung!
Throughout the day, the Nelson Performance booth will be gathering time slips from the fastest trucks and posting the results for all to view.
If you think your truck is fast enough to participate, please bring your time slip with your name and info on the back of the slip to the NP booth.
Time slips can range from 15sec to 9secs, but in the end, the list will only be compiled of the fastest 16 GM trucks/suvs.
An announcement will be made mid day for the fastest 16 to gather. Each truck will be numbered, 1-16, 1 being the fastest, 16 being the slowest.
    Racer 1 will compete against 16, 2 vs 15, 3 vs 14, etc.
This doesn’t seem like a fair race initially, but keep in mind, most of the racers are running their trucks just fast enough to qualify (not giving out any secrets basically)
Meaning, #12 racer could actually be fast enough to qualify as #3.
It also weeds out the slower racers and in the end, the last 4 qualifiers are the fastest trucks, which makes for a great show.

The winner will be given the LS1Truck.com Fastest Street Truck Trophy and a $150 Comp Cams Certificate.

    -Bracket Racing
Just traditional bracket racing on a .500 light. An announcement will be made for all participating to line up!
This event can go without explanation, but for those that haven’t done this before, give it a try, it's very fun and easy to do! Here you go.

Get in line and the line tech will ask you “what’s your dial in time?”
Tell him the time that you think your truck will run. You goal when racing is to run your truck as close as possible to the time on your window.
You’re really not racing the guy next to you, you’re racing yourself. Keep in mind, reaction time is very critical.
A perfect reaction time and light is .500.
For example: If you dial in at 13.5 and your reaction time is .725, and your actual run is 13.6, well your overall time is 14.3secs.
So if you’re slow off the light, keep in mind your reaction time and make the adjustments for your dial in time.
This race is for all and makes for a great show!
If your truck runs an 18sec to an 8 sec quarter mile, don’t hesitate to join!
A trophy, price, or cash will be awarded to the Winner and Runner-up.

    -Burnout Contest
Like the title says, make the most smoke and win the Burnout Trophy and a Competition Cams gift certificate worth $150!

    -Grudge Matches
SO you want bragging rights against your competitor?
Roll up to the staging lanes and have the announcer call out your opponent.
Be sure to actually let the opponent know you want to race before hand, the parking lot is big and it’s hard to hear announcements sometimes.

    -Quickest Reaction Time
This isn’t a heads up race or competition, but it qualifies you for having the best reaction time out of hundreds.
Throughout the day, submit your time slip to the Nelson Performance booth.
Slips will be posted. Winner receives $150 Competition Cams gift certificate.

    -Time only racing
Throughout the entire day feel free to run your truck GM truck/suv as many times as you’d like.
Simply pull up to the lanes and wait your turn.
You will be given a time slip from the booth on the way back.
Be sure to stop by the scales to weigh your vehicle, it’s just after the time slip booth.

Trophies, prizes, cash awards will be announced at 4:45 at the end of the day.
Please attend the end of day announcement located at the staging lane area.

    Awards given:

    Fastest LS1Truck.com Truck Winner
    Bracket Racing winner and runner-up
    Burnout Contest Winner
    Quickest Reaction Time
