Ok guys here is the OFFICIAL sign up thread complete with details of the meet.
We'll be doin a cruise/poker run/power tour type thing.
We'll be handing out a playing cards at chosen stopping points along the way, everyone will get 7 cards total, and the person with the best 5 cards will win a prize, second place hand will get a prize as will 3rd.
Our finishing point will be Roosters Honkytonk Bar and Chicken Shack in Hennessey, OK. Pendind talks with the owner, we will be having a mini car show for those of us in the cruise and whoever says they'll meet us there. There will be awards handed out to:
Best Poker Hand
Furthest Traveled
Best Lookin Car
Best Lookin Truck
Best Sounding Exhaust
Best of Show
Not sure on the prizes yet. I'm thinkin and mp3 player and t-shirt for the best poker hand, basket of chicken and t-shirt for 2nd, and a free drink and coozie to 3rd place. Plaques will be givin to car show winners, and i'd like to come up with some kind of gas card to the furthest traveled.
We discussed t-shirts themed with our g2g and cruise. I will be talking to people tomorrow to see how much this will cost us.
For now, all of this will be coming out of mine and tylers pockets. We're not rich by any means, just want all you guys to come out and have fun. We have a paypal if any of you all would like to kick a few dollars our way to help with prizes, awards and t-shirts. tdperformance@yahoo.com
The official start point of the cruise will begin in Kingfisher, OK where we'll give out the first playing card. We'll then travel west on highway 33 to Watonga.
We'll stop at the F-Stop in Watonga for a few minutes, hand out the second playing card, get gas, drinks etc...From there we'll head north on highway 8 to highway 51A.
From there we'll head west to Canton Lake. There we'll hand out the 3rd playing card, take pics, b.s. etc...Once we're done there we'll head west on Highway 51 to 270 on to Seiling.
In Seiling we'll stop at the truck stop for drinks, gas, food etc...and the 4th playing card.
We'll leave Seiling and head north on highway 281 to Waynoka. Once there we will eat at the local mexican restaurant, hand out the 5th playing card, b.s. etc...
We'll then head back south on 281 to Highway 412. We'll travel east one 412 stopping at Gloss Mountains for picture taking. We'll then continue east on 412 to highway 60. We'll head south on 60 to Fairview then east then back south on Highway 8 to Okeene.
From Okeene we'll head east on highway 51 to Hennessey. From there we'll head south on highway 81 to Roosters where we'll hand out the final playing card, have car show and eat some chicken!!
I will update this thread as details become more concrete. I would like to have an exact time to leave each waypoint. I will get that figured out in the next few days. Anyone wanting to join us can do so at any of our stops or even along the road. Those interested please post here or pm me with a t-shirt size.
