Awesome! I knew I couldn't be the only person in the universe with the idea of putting an LQ4 into a Chevy motorhome. So you had to convert to DBW to make the dash work... were you trying to swap in the newer truck cluster? Or does it have to do with making the electrically driven speedo work on the existing dashboard? And also about the exhaust - the manifolds work, you just need a custom exhaust bent up to fit to the collectors? Once again - Thanks for your help.
I've done that swap into an 85 G Van chassis, also a motohome. It has been successfully running for 3 years now. I installed a 2006 6.0 with a 4l80e, from a wrecked 3500 Van, it was originally DBC and has been converted to DBW, so that I could get the truck dash to work. If you have questions please ask. I used the standard Van exhaust manifolds, but the tubing side had to be customized heavily to work.
