just ordered a decent priced acrylic polish/sealer wax kit. i have only had my truck 10 months and the conventional carnuba/silicone based waxes found on the shelf aren't getting the job done to my satisfaction. having a black truck, i like to keep it looking it's best and a buddy off of sss.com recommended this kit.

here are a few photos of his truck after an application with all of the steps.. i'm hoping to have the same results.

the kit runs a little over $100 for all of the steps. i'll let ya'll know the end results.

I USE EAGLE ONE WAX AS YOU DRY EVERYTIME I WASH. I DRY IT FIRST WITH A SHAMMY AND THEN USE A MICROFIBER TOWEL, ONE TO APPLY AND ONE TO BUFF OUT. IT WORKS AND IT MAKES BLACK SHINE LIKE IT ROLLED OF THE SHOWROOM FLOOR. MY TRUCK IS A 2000 MODEL AND STILL LOOKS NEW.

You should use a microfiber towel to dry also, it helps with spiderwebs on my truck. I HATE water spots, and for some reason I always got them when I used the shammy.

xlr82sxs, what is that product called in the pictures that they used?

I think I use the most convoluted process of anyone I know...

2 coats of Megs Show car glaze
1 coat of ClearKote Yellow cream wax
2 coats of Megs Deep crystal carnuba

And between each coat I usually use a quick detailer to ensure I get all of the wax/glaze.

    Pic doesn't do it justice.
