Well since me and my hommie Chingon have been tryin to do everything blue in our trucks ... this is what the product of our pimpness created recently :

   Custom Blue Window Control LED's

So... now your thinking to your self... dizzam... how can I get some tight window controls like MacADaYear and Chingon... well first off start like this....

    1)Take off window control unit

2)Take apart the unit from the housing

3)Now its time to take the switches off the unit... the best way is with a flathead screwdriver under the side of each piece...

This is what you start out with.... the tops are the fiber optic were colored blue from previous attemps at making the window controls blue but that was cleaned off before the LEDs were installed....

You can see the stock bulb with cover and fiber optic:

4)Once you get this all apart... you take the circuit out of the plastic piece and you should have this at the end of this project...

You can see where the 2 LEDs are now there in place of what used to be a bulb....

I had to route the resistor around like that so it wouldent short on anything or get in the way

Ok.. so now you have 2 LED's soldered in there with your resistor and you really think your cool now ... but NO NO NO... there is one more trick if you have the best output

5)Use some sort of reflector... in my case some insulating tape I found laying around... Ill bet some tin foil etc will work too....

The point of this being to reflect the narrow LED beam back into the fiberoptic thus creating way more light and thus making the controls way brighter and blu(er)?....

So... you started with this :

And how you have this :

Hope this helps... lemmie know if you guys like it

    Hell ya, PIMP style....
Note to everyone, this window control LED swap was the biggest pain in da ass out of the others in my opinion. Mac and I had problems from them not lighting up at all (blown fuse) to the electronic locks being fully "automatic" (Mac can tell you about that one HAH).
The pics of the insides look different because one is of the passenger side and the other is of the driver side, and ones upside down.... to remove that optic thing, just wiggle it good and pull up at the same time. Don't worry, it'll come off...and it wont break as long as you dont apply TOO much elbow grease...
The LEDs were from www.allelectronics.com and yo should use a resistor no lower than 480 ohms...just my suggestion
