    Thumbs up

my buddy at work is bulding me a custom console for my truck, i put some trans am leather seats in and it really opened up the cab, so why not a nice center console.
The console will house my shifter, radio, and my JLw6 sub (hidden). it will be covered in black pleather, and under the vinyl i cut a chevy emblem, it should buldge out just enuff to barely see it, i like it. the top is covered with a recessed aluminum plate that is 1/8 thick,
The ramp is going to be covered in vinyl, and the radio, well you can see where it is. there's two fans on each side that will take care of cooling the amp, it's also hidden in there, it's a ppi 200watt

his goal was to make it as light as possible, it's pretty damn light too, the frame is made from 1x1's , that hard light pine, and the covering on the side is luwan, however the hell you spell it, that thing paneling, the sub box is made from mdf and is sitting in the rear of the console.

so what do you think, it's in the building stages now, but i'll post more pics when it's done.

Nice! Looks like it will sit pretty low in there with your new T/A seats!

i like that fan idea, but i think it'll still get kinda hot under there, unless they're really strong fans...btw are the fans wired into the amp? lol

they are just pc fans from the power supply, the amp has internal protection , so i'm not worried, i can hammer it pretty hard and it gets hot but keeps on ticking, it'll shut off it it's too hot though.

i will get hot, the fans will have to do though, oh well

    thanks,

    allen
