painting interior accents? update pics post 29

I was thinking about doing a little interior painting.
Maybe just the driver side a/c vent area where the lights switch is at and the section around the radio. Thinking painting them gloss black, like the exterior paint of my truck.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, like what grade of sand paper to use if any, or paint promoter. Also, what paint/clear would be recommended for this interior job? Thanks

    thanks for the info,
went to NAPA yesterday and with my paint code, they were able to make my onyx black paint in a can... which i think is pretty cool and seperate can of clear.
The surface of the areas I wanna paint are pretty smooth already, im wondering if a scuff pad will be enough "sanding" to get some primer on them?

I did all the wood grain in my wife's vehicle which is same interior as yours. I used steel wool to ruf it up and then used Krylon's Plastic Fusion paint and clear. Seems to be holding up great so far. The chevy onyx black is cool, when I sprayed my harley myself, that is what I had mixed up...Good Luck.

    started sanding yesterday
put the promoter and started priming/sanding/priming/sanding this afternoon...... i work mornings so daylight isnt very much. right now im concentrating on the a/c vent on the driver side where the light switch is on.
the plastic around the radio is also sanded down, needs a bit more before i can spray on the adhesion promoter. will be posting up pics when im done with the driver side a/c vent, hopefully by tomorrow night.
