'06 Grill Question

I just purchased a '06 Silverado ECSB. I have a question about the grill. Mine has the plain black grill bar ends (I guess thast is what you call them, the ones under the headlights) I want to paint then to match but how do you remove them. I dont see attachment screws on the back and I do not want to break them. Thanks in advance. Chris

I have a white '06 and painted mine. I didn't remove them though, I just removed the headlight (easy) and masked the rest. I sanded and sprayed with Duplicolor touch up spray, several coats. It's been about 3 years now and they still look perfect.

Thanks for the reply. I thought about doing it with them on, but thought might be easier with them off. I'm sure someone has taken them off before. I know they make replacement ones.
