If you really want the fine scratches taken out, you will have to have it machine buffed.

Foggy is correct. You can't hand buff your paint and expect to get any scratches out.. I currently use gold class, which has kept my paint looking new for 12 years.

Im not really talking about taking out the scratches, but actually a cleaner the keeps the road dirt and such out off the scratches. If i go to the car wash that takes care of it.but i dont drive my truck in adverse weather and i mainly just whipe it down since it never really gets that dirty.but after a few times whipping it down the fine scratches collect some dirt.I just want a cleaner that will help me in that area.i wax it every spring with a buffer and its a all day thing.i was thinking of wet sanding the oarnge peel out also and take care of this problem.

Clay bar doesn't remove scratches, only oxidations in the paint, sometimes even scratches the paint.. Like stated depending on how bad the scratches are will determine what level cut compound you will need, you will def need to machine buff it out(not a orbital buffer) Prob a wool pad, followed up by a finishing cut on a foam pad, then a wax... I use mothers detail spray wax, its pita to take off sometimes, but works well.. Not trying to sound like a no it all, but my truck is BLACK a 03 and is my daily and the paint is about looks new on it. I have done this many times, to other vehicles also..
