    broke into

    so today while my truck was sitting at the mall someone busted my lock out of my driver side door. I'm guessing they were trying to break in the truck and i walked out on them because right when i got in the parking lot my keypad for my alarm started beeping and vibrating and a little hammer was showing on the screen. When i got to my truck nothing had been taken i dont even think the door had been opened, but i am sanding and painting a back door handle off of a quad cab so i can put it on the driver side of my truck that way they can not bust the lock out anymore i will just have to make sure my remote doesnt run out of batteries or i will be locked out of my own truck with the keys in my hand.
    2002 silverado with a 4.3l v6 single wheel peel with true duals.......JK, 2002 silverado, KB 5.3 liter SOLD!!!(to a 16 year old for his first vehicle)

    Dude, that sucks about the lock...Good idea on the quad cab handle but for sure keep an extra key pad batt in your wallet or something just in case! Your transmission problems could be sloved possibly with a built 4l60 I hear its an electronic 700r4 and thats what I ran in my 94 with a built 5.7 and that tranny never tore up. It would catch a 2nd gear scratch with 33 12.50 tires!

    Put it this way, we pay Okla prison system to house a lot of our citizens and non-citizens that we don't have room for.

    not to change the subject, but appearantly they need more states to house our problems until Texas can find a way to solve which i dont see happening anytime soon.., hell i'd pay canada to house them ..

    ya i have had it happen on my suburban where they got away with my indash and overhead monitor but thats what insurance is for. I'm hoping the back door handle idea will help with this problem but im hopeing they dont start breaking my window lol

    i already have the door handle without a lock on the passenger side. and as far as the alarm goes i have a good prestige alarm with remote start and it was going off when i was walking to the truck thats what im guessing scared them away but as far as the packing heat part i dont carry a hg 24/7 only on trips.
