    Painting the bow tie

I remember seeing someone talking about how to first remove then paint the bow tie from their grill. I have a 2000 Tahoa and think I'd like to do that. I've been looking throught the threads and I can't find where I saw it.

There are 2 thin metal nuts on the back of the grill shell, take them off and the bowtie will come right off. Rough it up with a scotch brite pad and paint it.
