What are you using to protect the paint and minimize those unsightly swirl marks?
I don't have time to spend alot of time detailing but I also dont want to mistreat the shine.
ITS 06 SSS BLACK
THANKX!

i use Maguires gold class. my truck isn't black, but at one time i had 3 black trucksalways used the gold class.
what i do is wash it
clay bar it ( mothers claybar)
then get the gold class wax and put some on the pad and rub it on small sections at a time. then use a 100% cotton towel to wipe it off with. if you have bad swirls then you probably need to do a wet sand on your clear coat. unforatnly i got a huge bundle of towels from Sams club and they were 100% cotton but they left a purpose haze on my paint that really didn't want to come off. i went from this
to this
unfortunately there still are a lot of swirls the clay bar and hand buffing didn't get out so will have to do a wet sand this summer. i have never done it but i am going to learn
Also when washing use a micro fiber mit.
yeah - the window is definitely shinier in the last picture!![]()
You can add a step in there...after the clay bar use meguairs swirl and haze remover then hit it up with the gold class!![]()
Make sure you dint over sand! You can sand the clear right off your truck. I have wet sanded before and used 2000 grit and a lot of water. After that I came back with buffing compound. It made a word of a difference but I was bitting my hails the whole time.Maguires
Oh and maguires gold is a very good product.

I was just thinking how nice it would be to go out and wax the old truck but well, heres a pic of my truck. I had to stop on my way to work and take it.
Docent my truck look bad with stock wheels and custom road salt all over it?

ZAINO z-5
zanio is way over priced and doesn't have a very long shelf life. it only lasted in my tool box like 8 months then went bad. i got about 80 bux worth of it brand new for 8.99 once. i tried it, it left a nice shine and was smooth but it lasted a week. gold class last months
I have had ZAINO for years if you dont mix it with the zfx the it has a very long shelf life. Maybe the cap was not on tight. Google the ZAINO independent test and it beats every thing else hands down on shine and protection.
O.k.
Here is my list and my truck is black!
1. Was with Meg gold class soap.
2. Clay bar
3. I do the three step Mothers system, or meguires. I like mothers better.
4. When I wash my truck, I use wax as you dry wax and your original wax job will last all year.
Oh yea only microfiber cloth on paint only.
