    Question Roll pan Install ???

    Hello everyone,
OK so I just got my new roll pan in the mail and it came with 5 little screws to install it. Its a fiberglass/jell coat pan and The instructions say that all I need is to just mount it using these 5 screws across the top. Well I'm thinking that this isn't going to be strong enough. Has anyone ever installed a fiberglass pan? Is that all you used? I was thinking of adding a couple of supports running from the frame to the license plate holes. Anyones help or opinions would be great. Thanks!!!

You'll likely need tabs holding the ends of the roll pan to the bed sides using pop rivets or screws.

panel adhesive might be advisable on the bed side ends. The stuff they use to bond fiberglass corvette panels to the steel or attachment point.

gmc where do the supports tie in on the pan side? on the far end, where the frame rails would be, or more in the middle like where the plate is? thanks for the help guys.

Mine are where the frame rails are. They have small allen headed bolts at the very bottom of the pan. They show a bit but not too bad. The support is a rod with washers welded on each end to mount to the pan and the frame. I would take some pictures but it is at the paint and body shop right now getting painted to match.
