    Question painting

    Im thinking about painting some of my engine plastic, any tips or pointers? eg: what paint, grit, i know i need a good anchor profile, clear coat, stuff like that? any help would be appreciated.
    2006 ecsb silverado, AFE Cai, Jet Maf, Pacesetter Ceramic Coated Lt's, true duals with Dynomax Bullets, cats and o2's....still emissions legal!

    what color are you looking to do just a good scuff job and clean it well and then some bulldog adhesion promotor and the color your painting see how it comes out then you can decide if you want to clear coat or not
    1999 chevy silverado 4.8 v8 lowered 2" front 3" rear stillen bumper cover, stillen air intake with added cold air box, throttle body spacer, custom mirror stainless steel engine covers, stainless heater and coolant hoses, gaylords hard tonnou cover, custom classic roll pan molded in, sir micheals handle relocator, led tails, custom painted interior pieces. custom magnaflow all stainless exhaust. not to mention other stuff lol

    well i was going to try to match the truck, but what brand paint would be good for it, should i buy an airbrush?

    no u wont need an airbrush. a lot of the high quality paints now come with a pretty good sprayer. get duplicolor it should work pretty well for what ur doing.

    yeah duplicolor makes some very good matching paint i got a can of it and did like my third brake cover and it matches flawlessly you cant tell it was a can

    what do i scuff it up with, sand paper?
