A good while back I upgraded my rather boring 94 GMC 1500 front end with a complete 98 front end package. I have noticed that my headlights (now rectangular kind) tend to stick out on the section closer to the grill, which pushes my light beam in all kinds of crazy directions. Even on low beam I am blinding people who are driving past me. Is there something I am missing here? I tried to adjust them with the 2 metal ballasts on each assembly but they dont tend to do very much. Any body got any ideas?

Since you have a 94 SL, it had the single square headlights, right? From what it sounds like, you did the proper conversion. I had 2 OBS trucks and the headlights never stuck out towards the grille. If I were you, go to a strip mall that has glass all the way across the storefront---and do it at night when nobody is there and your lights will be on... Make sure you are on level ground--then adjust them all the way (which may be several full turns) so that they aren't sticking out by the grille. Then sit in your truck and lean over so you are centered in the cab. Look and see which ones are misaligned. From there, you should make a few fine adjustments...
